A small, independent travel app for Latvia, made by people who love this country and the stories behind its places.
Latvia is full of places with a story - a castle where a legend was born, a bog that healed people for centuries, a monument a whole nation paid for. Most of those stories never make it onto a road sign. We wanted a way to carry them in your pocket and listen whenever it suits you - at home, or on the spot where it all happened.
So we built Latvia Travel Tales: a travel app that maps places to visit across Latvia, gives you self-guided walking and driving routes, and adds an audio guide to many of them. It works offline, so the story keeps playing even when the signal drops between Cesis and Smiltene.
We're a small, independent team, not a big travel company. We started with Riga's Old Town, then added Kurzeme, Vidzeme and Latgale, and we've walked many of the routes ourselves. New places and routes go in every week.
It's built for anyone who likes to travel with a bit of context - curious visitors, weekend explorers, and locals rediscovering their own country. If you love the idea of knowing the story behind every place, this app is for you.
